The Brief – Virtual Tour and Google Maps Tour
When the voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley marketing team contacted us, they were well-versed in our work on high-end resort virtual tours. They were looking to create a high-end custom-branded virtual tour that allowed people to explore their high-end resort and design it to look like the voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley brand. Like most resorts focusing on their accommodation, facilities, and dining locations, they also wanted to focus on their sustainability features.
The one thing that the team at voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley wanted to ensure was that they also added our live-guided feature. They had seen it on other work we had created and wanted the ability to host Zoom/Skype meetings in their virtual tour for their events team. This is an excellent use of the technology because they can not host in-person meetings with prospective clients from Sydney, the rest of Australia or the world. They also wanted to take advantage of Google Maps for that high-end branded virtual tour / Google Maps Tour combo for enhanced exposure.
What We Loved About This Project
When the team at Simply 360 creates a virtual tour, we usually coordinate with the team we have been speaking with before the shoot. Our team collaborates with every staff member, including the concierge, restaurant staff, grounds crew, and others, to ensure everyone is fully aware and part of the process. This level of coordination helps us to capture the essence of the place in the best possible way.
After completing the shoot, we took a fun tiny planet photo of the entire voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley team. The photo was a great way to capture the team’s enthusiasm and dedication towards their work. We are grateful to have worked with such a fantastic team and look forward to future collaborations. Fun Fact: On the first day of shooting, the winds were strong, blowing at 44+kmph. The Trees felt like they were about to fall over and were bending sideways. As a result, literal tumbleweeds were flying through the entire complex. We decided to primarily focus on indoor shots and wait for the weather to calm down the next day. Everything worked out, and we completed all the photography within the time frame with a simple reschedule.
