The Brief – 360 Virtual Tour and Google Street View Tour

Sharon, the owner of Gang Gang Gallery, was looking for new ways to engage with her patrons when the Coronavirus pandemic hit. She had already updated her website, added an e-commerce store but was looking for something unique. She engaged Simply 360 to create a 360 virtual tour of her art gallery with the focus to bring the gallery, ambience and experience into the digital space. Additionally, we also put the 360 images into Google Maps Street View to increase her map ranking and online presence.

What We Loved About This Project

Working with an art gallery is a unique experience in that there is a wide array of different collections from various artists. We collaborated with the owner and all the artists with their various collections. Each artist has different styles and implementing them telling their story gave the tour an enriched and personal experience. Music was embedded into the tour to add to the experience. It feels as though you are transported from anywhere in the world and walking through Gang Gang Gallery itself. Additionally while not directly related to the project, the drive to Lithgow was quite scenic and relaxing.

About The Client

Gang Gang Gallery features a variety of contemporary art from the Blue Mountains region, Central Western NSW as well as other parts of Australia. The gallery has a focus on representational pieces from all traditions, expressionist to abstract and even kitchen in a multitude of mediums, including sculpture, textile, paint and ceramic.
