About Double Bay Beach

Double Bay Beach is located along the foreshore of Double Bay which is also right next to the ferry wharf and Steyne Park. Although it is one of Sydney’s quieter beaches, it is only a 10-second walk from the wharf and located right next to the heart of Double Bay.

An interesting fact about Double Bay. The name Double Bay comes from 2 other bays surrounding Double bay. These are Point Piper and Darling Point. Also historically speaking it was one of the first areas in Sydney to be built on from 1788 the year which was the original year the settlers first arrived to Australia.
