In 2020, a large boulder rolled down the hill and onto the road, narrowly missing a car. Specialist abseilers will be inspecting the slope and removing loose rocks and boulders. Vegetation removal is necessary in some areas to prevent 'root jacking' where tree roots grow into rock joints, causing significant rock instability.
